Restorative

You're the son I never had
the sun that keeps me warm
and though I'm not your dad
whenever dark clouds form
I'll be your shield.

There's nothing you can't be
you're so talented and smart
and everyone (like me)
will be swayed by the heart
you cutely wield.

The life I've pursued
wasn't always worthwhile
but my faith is renewed
when blessed by your smile
and I am healed.

This is so loving and heartwarming, Bob - little guys keep us smiling, for certain.
