Provenance

High above the catacombs
a pearl upon a tether roams
beginning an adumbral phase
so nebulae, like chromosomes
can sparkle on atop the maze
emitting those ancestral rays
to grant the gazers in their domes
a glimpse into the nascent days.

I love your choice of words. You always force me to get Webster out! It makes me wonder though if the search will reveal how it began or how it will all end.

Definitely a thinker's poem... yet not so eclectic as to lose its efficacy. I really like the concept of 'a pearl upon a tether'. Is this a portent or approbation?
